Free Cities

The Free Cities consist of five major ports, and a number of small trading towns between them.

The two main ports on The Inner Sea are Tyr and Urik. These cities are perched along the edge of the desert, and are a major stopping point for trade from The Far Lands.

Culturally, the Free Cities are similar to the Middle East, with cities and peoples representative of both later Muslim cultures and early Babylonian civilizations.

The Free Cities are the homeland of the Eladrin, but these peoples frequently keep to the deserts, leaving the cities in the hands of independent-minded Dwarves, Humans, Gnomes, and Halflings. Elves generally avoid the deserts, unless they are travelling to the Elder Wood.
